Christopher Alder’s relatives want an explantation as to how his body was misplaced for more than a decade. The body of the 37 year old ex-paratrooper was discovered in the motuary at Hull Royal Infirmary only after a family arrived to collect the body of their relative that died in 1999, but had never claimed the body. Pathologist confirmed indentification through two broken teeth and a tattoo.
Hull City Council said it is “appalled and distraught” at the mix-up. “At the moment, we cannot explain this, ” the statement said, before adding that further information would be available soon.
