Cemetery lost child’s body, family sues

A Durham cemetery and grave-marker service are being sued for allegedly misplacing the body of a dead child, causing severe emotional distress to the family. The case involves Charles and Dorothy Miles, whose 7 year old daughter died after a lifelong battle with cancer, and Glennview Memorial Park as well as J and P Memorials.
At this point the parents are not sure where their daughter is buried due to alleged negligent misconduct and the only way to be certain would be to exhume the body which would be costly, causing more emotional distress to the family.
The cemetery states the marker was originally installed at the wrong plot but has since been fixed.
